This fan is a custom order placed by F., who couldn’t find what she was looking for in the shop. We decided the print and staves in a couple of quick emails; It’s been really easy because she knew which colours she wanted: gold and grey. I love the result, I wouldn’t have thought of that combination, and it really works. : ) Now her fan must be somewhere in France, or its way to Scotland. I hope it arrives soon and F. likes it!

I designed the custom die and sent it to a small factory in Ubrique (in Cádiz, famous for its fine leather goods). The cases are already at the studio. I love the colours – grey, cream and light teal -, so easy to combine with the fans! What do you think?

It took a bit longer to make these fans, in order to have the hems sewn and pressed properly, but I love the unique final result. What do you think?

This is the fan I made with the fabric I bought at La casita de Wendy. It’s such a light voile, I had to use iron-on interfacing at the back.
